Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB) To partner with Nigeria Association Of Women Journalist (NAWOJ) Zamfara state council.
This was made known by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Honorable Murtala Adamu (Matawallen Jangebe) in his office while receiving the official of NAWOJ who paid him a courtesy call.
Mallam Murtala Adamu said the board will partner with the association in the area of community based advocacy campaign on girls child education in the state.
The Chairman also maintained that ZSUBEB will provide all the necessary support to the union with a view of achieving the target objectives.
Honorable Murtala Adamu on behalf of the board generally thanks the leadership of NAWOJ for appointing him to served as the patron of the union in Zamfara state.
He therefore urged the members to work together with Higher Level Women Advocate (HILWA), Schools Base Management Committee (SBMC), Mothers association and all other relevant organisation in the state, so as to serve as roll model to other women in the per suit of education.
Speaking earlier, the chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalist, comrade Salamatu Umar, said they are in the executive Chairman office to commend his leadership on success recorded by the Board in the areas of revitalizing the grass root level of education in the state.
Comrade Salamatu Umar also intimate the Chairman about the union decision of his appointment as patron, she therefore on behalf of the leadership of NAWOJ in the state, congratulate him and hope for his continuous support and cooperation.
In attendance at the courtesy visit were,. the board secretary, Alhaji Sidi Yakubu Halliru Bakura, Director social mobilization, Alhaji Yusuf Abubakar Mafara, Director works Engr Gambo Lawal and the public relation officer, Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi. Others include comrade Rukayya Salau, Jamila Musa Kanoma, Shafa'atu Abdulwahab Zurmi and host of others.
