I thought he's versed enough in Nigeria's brand of 'rotating' politics to know that no politician from across the river would support him to make the wait for their turn 12 years instead of supporting PMB and working hard to get his nod in the succession battle. By the way, this applies to other contenders warming up to slug it out with PMB.
As God would have it, PMB is well positioned to seal the fate of any wannabe from his own side of the river. His sincerity of purpose, successes recorded and of course, the allure of power rotation would see to it that any false saviour would have nobody to save but himself from hurricane Buhari.
Forget all that talk about PMB sidelining the youth in his administration after all, it was a youth, Hadiza Bala Usman that kick started the 'transfer' process when she decided to delve into affairs hitherto, considered a taboo; when she decided to touch the untouchables. No crystal glass is needed to link the migration of Atiku from APC to the NPA/Intels squabbles which many saw as an attack on the business empire of Atiku to weaken his muscles but, which in reality was the CHANGE Nigerians voted for but which Atiku chose to be selectively blind not to see.
By the way, with all his 'concern' for youth participation in governance, I heard from the grapevine that his support went to Hajia Aisha Jummai Alasan when he was offered a slot in PMB's cabinet. One would think he would pick from the thousands of youth that slaved for him to keep close to Senator Kwankwaso in the APC primaries.
The youth are no longer gullible to fall for such gimmicks. They had been taken for a ride for too long and they are now smarter to know where their bread would be better buttered. It's no longer about a one time payoffs. It's about concrete and permanent solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems that PMB is working hard to surmount with results to show.
I'm happy for the sugar-ants members of the PDP who are busy celebrating the return of the 'Boss'. They should celebrate the sudden change of their fortunes while it last. It's not everybody you are blessed to be around when a breathing ATM go haywire. But they should know, this is penalty kick. Any mago-mago would not be dealt with the PDP way.
If I Were Governor El-rufa'i - Salis Moriki
I am so much in support of restructuring of our educational sector. The level at which our educational sector deteriorated is beyond imagination and needs a very powerful, fearless and serious minded person that will totally overhaul it for the interest of the people and nation at large. That is why I doff my hat for Kaduna state governor Mallam Nasir El-rufa'i for having the guts and audacity to do what others found difficult. Where I'm not with him, is the method he applies to remedy the negative situation. But it has to be done if he's to revive the sector. In most of the states and local governments in Nigeria, primary school teaching has become a politically compensating ground for politicians' wives and relatives whenever election is won. It resulted in having half literates as teachers in most of the primary schools. This, and other factors, contributed a lot in deterioration of education in Nigeria. That's why we are educationally half-baked, just like...
