The head of the committee in sokoto is Dr. SB. Kakale...a medical doctor, consultat Radiologist at UDUTH, lecturer at college of health sciences UDUS, official of National postgraduate college of medicine and current commissioner of health sokoto state. In sokoto they designated Murtala Muhammed specialist hospital as epicentre for emergency response to the crisis with several ambulances vehicles for evacuation of affected patients to the epicentre......it's manage by the staff of the state and NGOs mainly Doctors with out borders.
In zamfara the head of the committee is Prof. Abdullahi shinkafi.... A professor of FORESTRY and former lecturer at the faculty of Agriculture UDUS other members includes Commissioner of health Alh. Suleiman A. Gummi a public administrator by profession, Alh muttaqa Rini commissioner for LG and chieftaicy affairs (a carrier politician )and Alh. Mukhtar Shehu Idris the commissioner of finance.....Non of them is a carrier health professional (what a perfect committee to tackle meningitis out break !!!).
