THE FACT IN FACT – The Duo Cannot Be Parted (Yariman Bakura And Abdulaziz Yari)

The lingering silence of the political Godfather of Zamfara state (Alh. Ahmad sani Yariman BAkura) over the most sensitive, most tormenting and devastating affairs of the Zamfara state spells nothing but doom to his political career.

There is a saying that “when a dog outgrows his master, he (the master) picks up a stick and put him (the dog) in shape. “That when a mad man walks naked, his kinsmen feel ashamed not him”.

Autonomous as he is (Yari) being the state governor does not require such political freedom by Yarima as to allow him molest his citizens at least to divulge him from putting off the record that was put in place by his administration and on which flatter the Yari’s administration came on board. We saw it happened with the former administrator (Shinkafi) that succeeds Yarima.

Why is it not happening now? We must give credit to Yariman Bakura over his administration. The economist (Yarima) ruled the state with humility and compassion; contributed immensely to both unemployment and poverty eradication.

Succeeding him came Shinkafi who started well with a zealous effort of putting some infrastructural shape to the state. Half the way, he was tucked by some unfortunate mischief that negates human and political ethics.

Inferring the devastating effect of Shinkafi’s act to his political career, Yarima turned and fought against Shinkafi.

With his credit – built no doubt on shared humility and compassion in his administration, and series of promises during his campaign amongst which is payment of N20,000 minimum wage to civil servants, Yarima gained massive support from zamfarawa (zamfara people), and Yari’s administration came to being. As a matter of fact Zamfara people voted for Yarima not Yari.

To believe that Yari negates or outgrown Yarima, is an unfair insinuation. We must believe that the state is in shape – structurally (specifically in terms of roads an electrification) and lately secondary schools are gaining some impact (structurally too).

Rate Yari on other basis than these you would score him zero if not less as against other administrators that ruled the state since inception. Civil servants take the worst part of him. To continuously bluffing about the N20,000 minimum wage promised during his campaigns is a waste of time.

Civil servants in the state crave to have a backlog of their promotions for over six years of Yari’s administration be effected, pensioners shade bloody tears to have their benefits paid, teaming number of unemployed graduates roam the street as no fellow was employed for six years of Yari’s administration.

In a time less than two years back, a dreamy recruitment was made of 1400 graduates who were all offered of appointment and posted to various stations; hitherto, none received a dime from the state coffers as salary!

You may concoct reasons for refusing to implement minimum wage if at all there could be, but to denying the legitimate flow of promotional implementation, payment of pension benefits and annual increment is the least any mad administrator would do.

Civil servants are just his outstanding rivals. All these inconveniences are on the goofing excuse that the state is fiscally incapable of meeting these demands.

The state may not have money to pay legitimate salaries, pension benefits and employ graduates, but may have enough in its coffers to chatter a plane for a given citizen. The richest man in Africa (Aliko Dangote) was never reported to have chattered a plane from Abuja to Kano.

Perhaps the chattering fund was a cognate of one’s inheritance? Yari takes pleasure in this; this is never news as the frequency at which this extravagance occurred is wide enough for a blind man to sight.

With all the inconveniences, with all the torments; as if nothing occurred, as if no one is hindered, as if nothing is known, Yari’s benefactor (Yarima) remained mute.

If one is to insinuate, one would believe that if both hands are not soiled, then the two eyes are sheltered on a given head. Fight Yari as you did Shinkafi, at least for refusing to implement the N20,000 minimum wage you (Yarima) promised civil servants.

That way justice is done! On a social justice and political ethics, this economist (Yarima) should be on the best ground to monitor and guide or advice this administration, For He Made It. An elephant should breed an elephant, not a dog.

Yari’s administration should have been a replica of Yarima’s. Our revered politicians who have obviously put more on ground in terms of youths employment and community development projects that have direct bearing to poverty reduction in the state (Sen Kabiru Garba and Sen.

Tijjani O.D) frowned vehemently to this balky administration and would nailed him down in the absence of his Godfather (Yarima) – a fellow they revered highly.

Challenging his subject would mean challenging him. SO THEY ARE MUTE To utter that Yari and Yarima are apart is an incomprehensible song.

The deputy governor to Yari, the speaker house of assembly and some key commissioners that bears direct say to Yari’s administration are Yarima’s loyalists.

Moreso, he was never hard negating Yari. No one would believe that his compassion would smile at what Yari unfolds. But fight him if you are not, advise him if you are; for the fellow only seem to doom your political career – should you have any.

THE FACT IN FACT – THE DUO CANNOT BE PARTED.!
