With the present Nigeria's structure (not the states and local governments), but the moneybags, those who violated given previleges and became tribal, ethnic, religious, regional lords by primitive stealing, I will NEVER support restructuring. Supporting it now is like giving these criminals more power to continue subjugating their people.
This is not about the north, or our political leaders being lazy but it is about maintaining the status quo, as bad as it is, it checkmates the excesses of these criminal individuals, who were and remained the problem of Nigeria.
It was never about the structure of the country or its constitution or the system of government, but about me and you and our greed which refuse to allow the system to work.
Devolution of powers (regions or states) as the case may be, will empower these regional lords and embolden them to contemplate secession.
The Federal government has to remain powerful. I go with Ahmed Joda, turn 109 senatorial districts to federating units and abolish states. Then same goes to state assemblies and abolish local councils.
It is better to have a lone dictator at the centre than the present 36 + 1 dictators.
