The embarrassing and calamitous escape of Nnamdi Kanu, if true, is a major indictment of Lawal Daura's leadership of the SSS.
For the avoidance of doubt, the primary responsibility of the SSS is to identify dangerous terrorists like Nnamdi Kanu, track their movements, and neutralise their THREATS before they cause harm to Nigeria. Unfortunately, that has not happened in this case.
Despite flaunting every single one of his stringent bail conditions, and engineering the massacre of innocent Northerners living in the South East, while at the same time trying to set Nigeria up in flames, Lawal Daura did not deem it fit to deploy the immense counter-terrorism resources at his disposal to track down Nnamdi Kanu 24/7, and apprehend him if he tries to escape.
Out of corruption, arrogance and political expediency, if Lawal Daura could pour resources in monitoring Ibrahim Magu's movements and email/mobile phone communications 24/7, it is mind boggling to think that the same Lawal Daura allowed the most wanted terrorist in Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu, to escape out of the country.
Our personal experience of recently being blocked by the UK government from submitting evidence against Kanu and IPOB, coupled with other glaring evidence coming out in public domain in recent days have shown that Britain, France, and USA have all been complicit in supporting the IPOB terrorist organisation.
It might be the case that Lawal Daura has simply been following the instructions of his foreign paymasters, by allowing Nnamdi Kanu to quietly escape back to Britain.
In any country on the planet where the head of the internal security service is fit for purpose and doing his job properly in the best interest of his people, there is no chance ever, of a high profile terrorist like Nnamdi Kanu, escaping without being caught.
To this end, we seize this opportunity to call on his Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, to sack the arrogant, corrupt and incompetent Lawal Daura, before further damages are inflicted on Nigeria and Nigerians.
May God save Nigeria and Nigerians. Ameen.
