MR. PRESIDENT, While You Were Away - Salis Moriki

By Salis Muhammad Moriki

I would like to start by sympathising and congratulating you for recovering from your illness which took you far away London to seek for medical attention. May you never fall sick again, sir.

Although, I know you had been very much conversant with the happenings in the country during your 103 days absence, just as you stated during your national broadcast.

But I find it worthy to whisper (amebo) to you some of the major happenings during your absence, in case, the cabal don't want to tell you, because I heard that there are some things which they don't want you to know.

Sir, I didn't want to tell you this because of the carelessness and dereliction of duty attached to it. But I had to, because of the gravity of the embarrassment to the nation.

Immediately after you left this country, rats and rodents took over the management of your official office. They had field days in the most respective and exalted office in the country. I guess immediately after you left, those responsible for the maintenance of your office locked, abandoned the office and went on leave. I didn't know if the 3 months salary were given to them despite abandoning their official duties without a genuine reason(s) for the period under review.

Mr. President when you left this country, the Code of Conduct Tribunal led by justice Umar Danladi cleared Senate President Bukola Saraki of all the corruption charges against him. He's now a free man. Also the case file against the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekwremadu and other National Assembly officers for doctoring the 7th Senate rule to pave way for their emergence as the leaders of the NASS was withdrawn by the federal government.

If you could remember sir, before you left the country, the Department of State Security Service DSS raided houses of some judges and found some corrupt items there while EFCC apprehended another set and charged them to courts for engaging in corrupt practices which led to their suspension from the bench.

But the Nigeria Judicial Council led by Chief Justice of the Federation have since cleared and recalled them back to duty. They are now as pure as saints in their respective places of duty. Also courts have granted Nigeria permanent/interim forfeiture of Dezeini Allison's properties worth billions of Naira.

Mr. President sir, the National Assembly made some constitutional amendments, given the Senate President and Speaker immunity while in office. They also, among other things, put them as members of the Council of State, removed State/Local governments joint accounts etc.

They also passed the 2017 budget and have since been signed into law by the then Ag. President, Professor Yomi Osinbajo. He also sworn in the two ministers screened by the National Assembly.

Your Excellency sir, during your absence, all the regional components that made up the country via the 1914 amalgamation were led by their youth organisations, unlike before, when the old and experienced were the leaders. This resulted into given vacating order to non indigenes of the respective regions by each of these youth organisations.

Arewa Youth Coalition gave ultimatum to Igbos, OPC to Igbos, Niger Delta to Hausa & Yorubas while Igbos preparing to seceed from the country by inaugurating their Federal Executive Council and launching their Secret Police.

Mr. President sir, Boko Haram had relaunched their attacks, especially suicide which resulted to many deaths and casualities. Their attacks were intensed in the university of Maiduguri and other soft targets.

Also the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai has given the Nigeria Military a forty day ultimatum to capture Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau dead or alive. Two weeks has already elapsed out of the 40 days.

The controversy that erupted between the emir of Kano and Kano state government that almost consume his throne as a result of his constant and public criticism of government had come to an end after the intervention of Ag. President, former president Ibrahim Babangida, Aliko Dangote and other northern governors led by Kashim Shetima of Borno state.

He was cautioned not to be too much talking in public as he used to. So, we are now missing his analytical and insightful analysis on national and international issues.

C-In-C sir, the Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Professor Usman Yusuf was controversially suspended by the controversial minister of health, Professor Isaac Adewole for whistleblowing the monumental corruption taking place in the ministry through NHIS. The Executive Secretary is still on that 3 month illegal suspension.

Your Excellency sir, when your were in London, Sahara Reporters, Femi Fani Kayode and the Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose had fed us with many negative reports about your health status. While Sahara Reporters said you had hearing deficiency, Gov. Fayose and FFK said your were unable to speak and walk. One Pastor bursted that if you come back alive, he was not called by God. Many soothsayers had said many negative things against you sir. But today you are back fully recovered?

Mr. President sir, somebody called, Charlie Boy had organised a demonstration tagged # ResumeOrResign, asking you to either come back from your medical leave or resign your position as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Although, he was nearly lynched by some mob when he took his demonstration to Wuse market. Thanks to the snappy intervention of the police. Later, other organisations also organised a counter demonstration in support of your government, fully guarded and guided by the police.

Thank God you have just received the report of the 3 man committee you set up to investigate former SGF and DG National Intelligence Agency led by Vice President. I wanted to tell you the report of the committee was not made public despite given them 3 weeks.

Sir, what happened during your absence are many, but these are what is within the confines of my lobotomy and forwarded to you for your perusal and action.
