Jolly Phonics Promote Literacy In Zamfara State

Jolly phonics is the world's leading synthetic phonics program.

Synthetic phonics is a method that has been proven to enable children who learns English as a second language to read and write effectively in English.

In ZAMFARA STATE the program started in December 2012 and was accepted with enthusiasm. There is no school in the state that the program is not introduced.

Many states in Nigeria emulate  ZAMFARA State experience.

The  ULS-UK  can testifies that Zamfara  State is one of the leading state as far as Jolly phonics is concern.

Many things make ZAMFARA to be difference . These include:

1) Display of Tricky words song

2) Create new sound songs.

3) To commission new alternative vowels song soon.

4) To commission new letter names song soon.

5) Life player recording

6) The ULS-UK have selected Zamfara and Akwa ibom states to train 30 teachers  on how to  use the life players

7) Having the most strong monitoring team and national trainers that ZSUBEB and ULS-UK proud of.
