Programmes and other Educational Activities of RANA Monitoring and Evaluation M&E, will be extended to fourteen Local Government Education Authorities in the State.
This was made known by the Executive Chairman Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. Murtala Adamu (Matawallen Jangebe) while holding a stake holders meeting with officials of RANA M&E and other relevant stake holders in his office, during the week.
According to the public relations officer of the board, Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi said, the chairman appreciated the effort and performance of RANA M&E in enhancing education at some selected local government areas in the state.
Hon. Murtala Adamu Jangebe, assured the officials, that the board will sustain the continuation of RANA programmes by extending the system to all the LGEAs with a view to apply necessary strategies and mechanisms for effective data collection of all the educational happenings across the junior primary and senior primary schools in the state.
Matawallen Jangebe also said the Board is ready to collaborate with RANA for capacity building programmes and other training of its staff on how the board will streamline RANA monitoring support system into its regular routine schedules of both administration and learning across the state.
Earlier speaking, the leader of RANA monitoring and evaluation Mr Brian Dooley said they called for the stake holders meeting to brief on the success recorded by RANA during the period under review in the state. It was to discuss possible ways on how RANA monitoring and evaluation will be handed over to state for sustainability, and brain storm on the major areas of interest which RANA will support the state government before the exit time of the programme next year.
The meeting was attended by the permanent member 1 of the board Alhaji Yahuza Muhammad Gebe mni, Alhaji Ahmad Sale Tsafe who represented the Commisioner of education, Representative of female education board Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Birnin Tsaba, all directors and other principal officers board and state team leader of RANA Hajiya Zainab.
