Governor Yari Urges Zamfara People To Assist The Security Agencies To Tackle Recent Upsurge Of Armed Banditry In The State

Gov AbdulAziz Yari of Zamfara state has urged the people of the State to continue to be law-abiding citizens as part of their contributions to building of a dignified society, full of hopes and prosperity.

The Executive Governor also called on the people to assist the security agencies in the state to tackle the recent upsurge in the activities of armed bandits who are bent on terrorizing the state.

This was contained in the Governor's good will message today Sunday 1st October, 2017 to mark this year's independence anniversary celebration.

In a press release issued by the Governor 's spokesman Mal Ibrahim Dosara, Gov Yari also asked the security agents working in the state to be more alive to their responsibilities of protecting the lives and property of the people.

The Executive Governor congratulated the people of the State for witnessing the 2017 independence day celebration and prayed for more prosperous years ahead.

Governor Yari also used the occasion to express his profound gratitude to the people of the State for their patience, courage, support and cooperation to his administration in its efforts to develop the state.

Gov Yari also urged the people to continue to pray for peace and harmony, unity and and understanding for progress and development of Zamfara state in particular and Nigeria at large.
