About the #ZamfaraYouthMustSurvive Movement
The movement shall be cited as Zamfara Youths Must Survive. With a hashtag: #ZamfaraYouthMustSurvive.
Motto: If government cannot do it; we can do it ourselves.
Only youth of between 18 and 35 years is eligible to participate in the movement.
There shall be an official dress code identity of a Black Cap.
The movement will NOT break any law of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The movement will NOT participate in any activity that will go against the rules of the Security Institutions of the federation.
There shall be an executive body that comprise:
Chief Executive Officer (CEO),
Secretary General,
Director Media and Publicity,
Project Manager,
Financial Secretary.
VISION STATEMENT
A vibrant youths movement that will provide inclusive, innovative and sustainable services and programmes improving individual and community physical, mental and emotional well being in accordance with the law.
MISSION STATEMENT
This movement will work and serve youth and the people of Zamfara State in general. To work as a team aimed to bring about positive changes in the state.
The #ZamfaraYouthsMustSurvive movement will work in accordance with the problems and needs of the youth across the state. It will further work in partnership with the entire youth of the state and community in general to strive for excellence in meeting the needs of the total Youths’ minds and spirit, through the provision of public awareness, educational support, peace and harmony, unity, guidance and counselling as well as dialogues. The movement will NOT in any way cause tension or vice versa in society.
Aims and Objectives of #ZamfaraYouthMustSurvive Movement
YOUTH AWARENESS: The movement will give more concern towards the creation of public awareness and enlightenment that will improve the standard of the youth critical thinking that will bring about positive changes in Zamfara State. The following are some of the activities that will be carried out:
PUBLIC SEMINERS: The #ZamfaraYouthsMustSurviveMovement will organise public seminar(s) for the youth across the fourteen local government areas in the state.
PUBLICATION OF AWARENESS PAPERS: The movement will publish papers that will enlighten youth to know their rights in the society. It will further elaborate the roles of youth towards the development of the society. Problems of Zamfara Youth will also be indicated in the content of such papers.
ENHANCE UNITY: The #ZamfaraYouthsMustSurvive Movement will enhance the unity among the youth.
EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT: The #ZamfaraYouthMustSurvive movement will strongly help in the educational sector across the state.
Creation of dialogues between the officials of #ZamfaraYouthsMustSurvive and the students of the elementary and secondary level respectively.
Provision of teaching aids to our elementary and secondary schools. Which includes:
Provision/rehabilitation of Chalkboards,
Provision of Chalks and dusters,
Provision of writing materials etc.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT: The movement will give support to the youth to be self reliant.
REDUCE POLITICAL VIOLENCE AND INSTABILITY: Expanding the political space for youth to contest will potentially increase the patriotism quotient and install national pride in the youth. It will reduce incidences of youth involvement in violence and political thuggery.
ENHANCE PEACE STANDARD: Peace and harmony are the main pillars of progress. Therefore, this movement will unceasingly participate in the activities of uniting the youth together.
ENHANCE DEMOCRATIC DEVELOPMENT: The movement will ensure the resourcefulness of young are harnessed for improved governance and development at the local, state and national levels.
ENHANCE COMPETETIVE POLITICS: With the dynamism, energy, innovation and resilience of youth, this movement will increase the competitiveness of electoral politics in the state. It will enhance issue-based politics and build a culture of civic participation and engagement in youths.
DEEPEN INTERGENERATIONAL DIALOGUE: It will deepen intergenerational dialogue and knowledge transfer, and promote adult-youth partnership in public governance-a model that most developing states have adopted to spur democratic development;
RIGHT TO POLITICAL PARTICIPATION: Zamfara as a state, youth are left behind in the process of political participation. Despite, the efforts of the youth in promoting the state to a great/high level. This movement will ensure that youth have been involved in the political participation, including, contesting for a public office.
SELFCENTREDNESS: To afford the opportunity for personal development through the provision of programs that will enhance life skills, improvement of the self-image and vocational motivation.
GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING: The movement will ensure that it provides support, care, guidance and counselling to the people of the state. Especially that of Senior Secondary Schools who are proceeding to the higher institutions of learning.
SOCIAL INTRACTION: The #ZamfaraYouthsMustSurvive will provide opportunities for social interaction amongst the youth. Where they will provide necessary solutions to some of our local problems.
STATE WIDE SANSITIZATION: A renaissance/rebirth or sensitization for the youth against bad leadership, clueless, bad, expatriots and traitorous leaders.
